About Me

I'm a 27 year-old musician from the Houston area. My passions other than music are travel, the outdoors, nature in general. I love camping, hiking, skiing, and meditating on mountains or beaches. My favorite places are the Pacific Northwest and the Southwest. I love meeting new people, having new experiences, and embracing new ideas. I'm very respectful of people's space, whether it's quiet or energetic. I'm very adaptable either way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel a lot more regularly, and I hope, when I have a place that I can offer to host, that I can facilitate others' desire to travel. I want to meet people from all over and be part of this large community of travelers and broaden my perspectives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I composed a deeply personal piece of music for piano and had the opportunity to see it performed in a concert hall. People approached me after, some saying it brought them to tears. Some described the things it made them feel and imagine and it was as if they read my mind. I learned that night that this is the best medium I have for communication, better than language, and that it is immensely powerful.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always willing to teach people new musical techniques, learn things from other musicians, and just jam with others. I'm always willing to fill a space with music. I once worked at a summer camp and was in charge of the music. I loved being able to provide that for the community at large, but my favorite thing was when people asked me to play their campers to sleep. My favorite complement to get is, "I could fall asleep to this." I love brining peace to people.

I can talk endlessly about deep subjects and I love expanding my mind. I'm very open and truly listen. I hope to have more to teach the world someday, but in the meantime I'm happy learning.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm willing to jump in and help with anything. Cooking, cleaning, yardwork. It would feel wrong to me not to make a contribution, however large or small, to my host.
