ABOUT ME

I am a writer, though I've rarely used my skill with words to describe myself. Not that I don't believe I'm an interesting subject.. just imagine a mirror reflecting itself into oblivion.. that's probably where my mind would wind up. I'll stick with basic facts for the safety of my sanity.

I am 24 years old. I graduated high school at 17 with a substantial academic scholarship. I turned down the opportunity for a free degree in order to pursue what I believed to be more important. Purpose.

I have boundless creativity that spills over from writing into just about anything else imaginable.

I come from a loving, supportive family. Most of the family still lives in South Jersey where I was born.

My father, however, moved down to Georgia after retiring. I hadn't lived with him since I was ten and found the prospect (and area) intriguing, so I packed up on New Year's Eve and headed for Georgia.

I never saw this as a destination for myself, more like a turning point. I started at the shoulder, worked my way down to the elbow, and can see clearly now in which direction route forearm leads. Perhaps someday I'll know where the finger points, but I'm not worried about that yet.

I recently received a significant commission for a project I worked on while living in NY. It was more than adequate monetary compensation, but offered no recognition. I've never sought applause, but certainly felt uneasy with the thought of my words being all that I'm leaving behind. I left New York still in search of purpose, but with new information on which direction to head.
