About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Have a good time and live the good life
ABOUT ME
I am friendly and open, with a good sense of humour and an easy-going nature. I love to experience new things and prefer to spend my time outdoors (in the sun if possible!) England is somewhat lacking on the sun front though.
PHILOSOPHY
Live well. Laugh hard.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted people before (under a flatmate's account) and hope to couchsurf myself this year for the first time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a variety of couchsurfers pass through my couch during my university years, all with their own interesting stories and I've enjoyed meeting them all! Having hosted before (under my friend's account), I'm now looking forward to surfing some couches myself.
Interests
I love to travel and am a writer and a comedian. I also enjoy sports and the outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books. That could take a long time. I'm a voracious reader and love books. So just assume that I will read all books, though my absolute favourites are Nights at The Circus by Angela Carter and Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Movies. Again, I like a wide variety. Big fan of comedy, especially Tina Fey/ Wes Anderson/ Ricky Gervais/ Simon Pegg, that sorta thing. Also like smart films and anything with a bit of depth and/or superb performances - something like What's Eating Gilbert Grape? or Fight Club. Never say no to cheesy stuff either though - Notting Hill, or Matilda. Oh and I really like Singing in the Rain and Hitchcock films...So yeah, basically lots!
Music. I think you know what's coming. Eclectic? Yes please. Maybe I'll just list a few and you can make up your own mind. Iron & Wine, Mumford and Sons, Dan le Sac and Scroobius Pip, Lupe Fiasco, Tinie Tempah, Laura Marling, The Civil Wars, Paul Simon, The Prodigy, Biffy Clyro, Too Many DJs, Joni Mitchell, etc, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Standing amongst howler monkeys in the Costa Rican jungle and listening to them call each other around me was one of the most thrilling experiences of my life.
Learning to scuba dive was also amazing and in Mexico I did a dive and my buddy put a scorpionfish into my hands (carefully!. Feeling its heart beat against my palm was incredible and I found a new wonder for the ocean and its inhabitants.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to juggle three balls. Maybe five, I can maybe do five.
I can play the piano very badly. You probably don't want me to teach you.
I'd like to learn to backflip! Or I think everyone except Great Britain calls it back handspring. The one where your hands touch the floor. That is my 2012 resolution so if you can teach me that would be amazing!
