About Me

Just back home for a while after studying in Beijing, no corona virus either which is nice.

A little bit airy-fairy but I'm in the phase of my life where I'm doing a lot of soul searching and trying to find out who I am and what I really want out of life, so don't be too surprised if I'd like to talk about some quite deep topics, in saying that as well depending on the type of person you are I'd be just as happy to head outside and explore the city or drink tea and chat about Rick and Morty haha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Same as everyone else I guess, to meet new people and learn how life can be for someone else. To meet amazing people and share our experiences.

I have also had the opportunity to stay with many incredible hosts throughout my travels so I'd like to give back to the community while I'm home.

Music, Movies, and Books

His dark materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman is my all-time favourite fiction novels, I read a lot of autobiographies and business books as well and am starting to get into classic novels, one of my current goals is to read a new book each week.

Not very musically gifted but I love all genres of music, hard to tell what I really like by looking at my Spotify playlists. Was a bit of a metalhead in my teenage years and have gone through various stages of bingeing on different genres. I find most modern music a bit lacking. All-time favourites would be bands like The Strokes, Blink 182, The libertines, Shihad.

Not really a big movie watcher (still don't have a TV) but a bit of Quentin Tarantino dark humour is always good.

Documentaries and Podcasts which really get my mind working, Ive started to listen to

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Caught a reindeer with my bare hands in the far north of Sweden.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can share my knowledge of NZ culture and a few good stories.

If I'm hosting in New Zealand: I live on a farm so you're more than welcome to explore/get a taste of NZ farm life, I have a slackline if you'd like to play around with it. If I have time I can also show you the local sights.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an average cook with above-average travel stories.
Love rock climbing if you need a climbing buddy!
Also, I'm big into outdoor sports, Hiking, surfing, slacklining maybe that's something we could try together.

I have done a lot of volunteering work throughout my travels so if there's a project you're working on I'd love to help out.
