About Me

Hello! My name is Bryce, I'm a 32 year old carpenter/architectural designer from Canada, recently arrived in Hamburg. I'm an outdoor enthusiast, amature musician, aspiring shower songstress, poi spinner, queer positive, with an unhealthy affinity for felines.
I love making connections with new people, exchanging stories and positive energy, and seeing the world through different eyes. I'm just hoping to share some beautiful moments here with inspiring people (and maybe share a cold beer, which Germany does so well!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm actually relatively new to couchsurfing.com, but I've surfed in New Zealand, France, Iceland, and Australia, and found it was a wonderful, immersive way to get a feel for a host country. I also love hosting, and introducing guests to the little hidden gems in my small corner of the world.

Interests

FOOD! hiking, writing, snowboarding, climbing, and playing/enjoying music (I play piano, alto saxophone, and presently working on guitar). I'm not very skilled with drums, but this is something I'd love to get into more, especially drum circles.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: too much! but I'm really getting into blues and acoustic sounds at the moment...
Books: anything by Anais Nin, Jack Kerouac, Robert Persig

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived/worked out on a deep sea fishing boat around Australia for 3 months, that was pretty cool. Did I mention I was afraid of the ocean?

Teach, Learn, Share

Trying to improve my German! I'm also always looking for volunteer experience on sustainable building projects, and to learn more about permaculture, alternative living practices, and holistic healing modalities.
I am happy to exchange lessons in music, art, and design, and I'm told I give a good shoulder massage?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not much of a cook (I can chop vegetables?), but I'm an amazing dishwasher. Pro.
I love to share music, stories, good conversation, and happy to help around the house/garden!
