About Me

I recently graduated from BYU Hawaii studying intercultural peacebuilding. I now own a small digital marketing agency called Magnet Marketing. https://magnetmarketingseo.com/

I recently got married to a beautiful Filipina girl named Deserie Navarro. We haven't had a chance to travel or couch surf yet as we got married in the middle of Covid. I'm hoping to travel with her a little bit in 2022, and introduce her to couch surfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the whole concept of couchsurfing. I've always loved to host people and show them around, and I love getting to know people more when I travel.

Interests

I love music, I play saxophone and sing, as well as a bit of piano. I like to help people. I started a non profit in Hawaii called Everyone Is Ohana, which helped connect the local homeless with resources that could help them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to make music more than listen to it. I used to study music in college and can play a number of instruments. My favorite kind of music is accapella music, I feel like it is the most pure form of music, using only the human voice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim, 50 miles total with 11000 feet of elevation change.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you words in different languages, (I know different phrases in 15 + languages) especially Japanese. I could also teach you how to beatbox, play ukulele, or have a jam session with whatever instruments you have available.

I'm down for any outdoor activities, repelling, spelunking, dirt biking...all of it. I'd love to learn ANYTHING you'd like to teach me :) I’m a fairly experienced rock climber, if you’re in the area and I have time I can take you climbing, I have my own gear.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If your my host, I'd love to help out in any way I can. I usually bring a small gift from previous countries I visited, or I can cook you some Mexican/American/Japanese food if you like.
