Présentation
À propos de moi
**Heads Up for Potential Surfers!**
I'm down to host almost anyone for the most part, but ideally folks who surf at our place should be fairly self-sufficient. I may only be able to hang out for a little bit if I'm busy, and I just don't want that to translate into a bad experience for anyone. Also, if you're a light sleeper, you should have earplugs, since our house can get a bit noisy.
CURRENT MISSION
As many adventures as possible
ABOUT ME
I used to work in a bank, doing ridiculous things with math and statistics. It was pretty awesome, until we broke the economy.
I left to just travel and explore for a while, and ended up in Munich for a bit, the Middle East for a little while, Bangkok for a little longer, and now finally in Australia (and then to NZ for a bit, then Japan)
I enjoy meeting folks from all walks of life, but intellectual curiosity, a good sense of humor, and a passion for spontaneous adventure win major points.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't do anything that I'd be ashamed to tell my mom. That's not to say I'm proud of everything I've done, only that I draw the line at being a complete disgrace to my family.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf, I host when I can, and I get involved with the groups and events when I can. I don't argue in the forums.
If you're around and want to get together, just let me know!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The first time that I Couchsurfed experience was in Munich, and I had a blast. I also really loved meeting random other Couchsurfers in Egypt, when we were all just traveling around.
It's fun being able to host now, though man, some people send odd requests. Girls sending messages that boil down to "I'm pretty, please host me." will be thoroughly dismissed.
Centres d'intérêt
Rock climbing, backpacking, snowboarding, road trips, camping, deep conversations, thinking rationally, experiencing new cultures, meeting new people, getting lost and finding my way home.
I have a soft spot in my heart for web comics and amusing clips on YouTube.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Favorite Books: "The Black Swan Problem", "Calvin & Hobbes", "The Te of Piglet", "Dinosaur Comics"
Favorite Music: I love hip-hop, mashups, pop music...really, anything with a good beat makes me happy.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Wow, too many to recount. I've camped in the Great Sand Dunes out in Colorado, which was so much fun. I love that in a day you can hike from the mountains down and in through the dunes, and camping on sand was a cool new experience for me.
I've been surfing in New Zealand and Costa Rica (though I'm not a very good surfer), and hope to go back one day soon.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I love talking about marketing, entrepreneurship, and all things business related. I also enjoy philosophical debates and thoughtful political discussion, though neither is really my strong suit.
I was never much of a world history buff growing up, but I've found it more and more interesting the older I've become.
I'm currently learning German, and would love to learn another language (especially Spanish or Arabic).
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
Asheville can be a weird-ish city, but hopefully I can help show y'all spots of awesome. I'm happy to swap cool travel stories over craft beer, or shoot pool/play cornhole/play anything.
