About Me

I'm a west coast, Portland, OR native. I am intensely social and love making connections with all sorts of people! I have an enormous wonderful community here and am looking forward to continue building that and sinking my roots deep. I am a prospective Couples/Marriage/Relationship/Family Therapist, and I help organize mediation and consent education in my community! I've got a deep instinctual love of people, I've been told I'm a very easy person to talk to. I love to cook, explore the outdoors, climb, eat tasty food, share long conversations,

I am very progressive (though not intensely politically active). I am deeply involved in the ethical non-monogamy community and somewhat involved in the queer community in portland. My couch is super friendly to people in these camps! And to be extremely clear, no, I'm not using this as a dating site, couches are platonic!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love getting to know people. If this box is more about what I contribute, I've been known to cook a fine meal on occasion, I've worked lots of odd jobs and have a fairly diverse skill set. Miscellaneous info is a hobby. I don't mind physical labor and a hard days work at anything is generally food for the soul. I'm good with computers and people and the combination of the two is a specialty so I can probably fix and or teach someone to fix most problems. Guitars and I have had a long friendship, and I'm mildly obsessed with music.

Hosted about 10 groups, surfed four times! The vast majority of my experiences have been stellar!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Under the Skin, Coherence, occasionally bad action movies.
Lately I've been listening to: Bonobo, Apparat/Moderat, Alt-J, Bon Iver
Books: Last excellent book I read was: Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. Absolutely fascinating, you should google it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you basic guitar, cooking, rock climbing, martial arts, parkour, skiing, English (I love language), I'm a fairly experienced backpacker (wilderness) and have a pretty good understanding of that and can share my knowledge, though it's easier in the field.

I enjoy learning pretty much anything to a reasonable level. Languages fascinate me though I don't know if I'm great at picking them up.
