About Me

I'm learning about the world by travelling with a very small amount of money and a thumb. I love food, in all shapes and sizes. I love culture, language, wine, good company, history and music. I'm young but I'm using that to my advantage. I've been on the road for a while now, camping in the countries and learning about the difficult lives on the streets in the cities, and have heard many people suggest this web-site along the way, and so now comes the time where I thought would be a good time to explore this way of travelling; hopefully I'll meet fantastic new characters and learn a lot more about the world through this interaction!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I realise this may be a better way to connect with more people and experience cities from a true perspective, engaging with hosts and receiving insight into the normal everyday life of different places.

Interests

Mainly music and travel, although with that I love a good movie, a good book, and I love to cook. I can bake a pretty mean loaf of bread, and I have plenty of experience in culinary works - though I acknowledge I am quite young, I started young!

Music, Movies, and Books

Psychadelic rock such as Zappa, Pink Floyd and rock'n'roll blues like Hendrix and Stevie.Ray.Vaughan. All the greats from the 60s to 70s basically, with a wide and expanding interest in a variety of other sounds! Movies, I go for cinematography and quality acting; I love Kubrick, Paul Thomas Anderson, David Lynch.
With books, I tend to go for classics, though I love a lot of different types of literature and am eager to learn more, to read more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travelled all the way from London through Edinburgh and back, through Amsterdam to Rotterdam to Tilburg, through Brussels, through Paris, Bordeaux, Toulouse, the whole South from Marseille to Perpignan (I have re-visited the south a number of times, staying in Pezenas which is a beautiful little city close to Beziers), Barcelona, Granada, Madrid, Toledo, Badajoz, Evora, Lisboa, Oporto >> then back across Northern Spain, Southern France, North to South and South to North in Italy (magical), Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Greece along the southern coast and back again. Just me, my bag and my guitar, hitching around the continent. Now I've come to the Canary Islands, for a slower pace of life this winter. I hope to learn and enjoy in this paradise.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to teach anything I can, for I have learnt so much from amazing people; it is only right I pass on their wisdom.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything I can offer - company, stories, a good meal - even a cigarette if you need it! <3
