About Me

Hi!

I'm a very easy-going, open minded, fun-loving lady from Australia who loves all things wine, chocolate, animals, nature, hiking, the smell of old books, art and adventure!
(I know my thing says Turkey, I was in Turkey when I made the account, I don't know how to change it... Oops)

I'm just travelling the world, wanting to meet new people, form new friendships, discover new cultures, learn new languages and have new experiences, more authentic experiences by getting to know the local people of each country I visit.

When I finally return home to Australia, I look forward to becoming a host and returning the kindness I have received from all the amazing people around the world who have helped me out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people, share stories, share reciepes, share wine and experiences!

Interests

Reading, writing, blogging, movies, music.
Nature, mountains, oceans, exploring, feminism, equality for the LGBTIQ community, animal rights, human/refugee rights, environmental issues.

I'm one of those bleeding heart vego types.

I have fairly left-wing/liberal political views and happy to discuss them and the world... Or not, if you prefer. Hehehe

But, I love to have fun and I love to laugh!

**Men please note**
I have heard hundreds of horror stories from girls who have stayed with dishonest hosts and Couchsurfing is becoming increasingly unsafe for women, with many treating it like a dating site or expect 'services' in return for a place to stay. I don't agree with that at all, that is not what this cultural exchange is about. Creepy and disingenuous guys, please don't offer to host me if you are looking for the chance for a casual hook up because I am not interested.

To the non-creepy, kind, genuine, friendly human beings, regardless of race, religion, gender/gender identity or sexual orientation, who just want to hang out and talk about the world, I look forward to meeting you! Thanks.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- my taste is so eclectic. Ray Charles, Billie Holiday, Billie Marten, Sam Smith, Lana Del Rey, Agnes Obel, Regina Spektor, A Perfect Circle, Muse, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, David Bowie, Shapeshifter, Fat Freddy's Drop, Kora, The Beatles... I could go on forever
Movie- Princess Mononoke, Some like it Hot
Books- I have a guilty love for teen fantasy/SciFi. Don't judge me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left my partner, quit my job and moved overseas in February 2015. It was the best thing I have ever done in my life, there is no other education quite like travel!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love children, I used to work in a kindergarten, am happy to provide babysitting services.
I also love animals, can puppy-sit as well.
I can speak a little Japanese, so if anyone wants to learn a few words...
But most of all, share in life!
