Overview
About Me
I am a Culinary school student about to enter the real world! I am driven by my passion for cooking and eating in happy, healthy, and supportive environments, but I love to be challenged intellectually and learn something or other everywhere I go. The food and beverage world is about community and I cant wait to see more of it, while contributing what I can along the way! I try to be open to new experiences and mindsets at all times, in this country or anywhere else in the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am embarking on a 3-4 month cross country road trip as my post-graduation plan!
The goal is to check out a ton of restaurants in various cities to learn more about cooking, serving, wine, and anything else I can see! At the end I hope to have an expanded mindset and increased experience, and a list of places that I want to return to and settle in!
On top of work experience I want to see as many corners of the country as I can and get a feel for different environments, cultures, and people. Love to try and feel more like a local anywhere I go to get a better sense of a place, at least from someone's perspective. I’m also looking forward to being able to give back to the travel community and host travelers when I am settled in somewhere!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'm open to just about everything and what I like changes with the wind. The trouble is I'm terrible at knowing what I want to listen to when the feeling hits, but it usually works out okay.
Movie: I haven't seen nearly as many as I apparently should have, and I hear about it a lot. I have roughly no attention span so anything that draws me in for long enough to make it through the whole movie is a winner!
Books: Also a bit all over the place. Up until now mostly dystopian novels and some polytheistic-based mythology based things, but recently I've enjoyed Robert Galbraith's murder-mysteries, The Goldfinch, and Scrappy Little Nobody. And cookbooks, always. But always open to suggestions!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A fair amount of solo travelling around Europe and parts of Asia during college, I like to think it has played a notable role in my self-development.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I know a decent amount about food, wine, beer, and the production/consumption of those things. I am far from an expert but spreading knowledge in any way I can brings me joy!
Learn: Everything possible. You never know what will be useful someday, or simply remind you of a one-off story from years back.
Share: I've been at a relatively small school for a few years now, and my favorite thing about my industry of choice is the community/family vibe. I'm happy to share that with as many people as possible because it's a beautiful thing!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I won't have much on me but love to share food, drink, and new experiences with good people!
