About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make friends from Spain, France, Italy, Germany

ABOUT ME

I'm a twenty five two year old lawyer, living in down town Reykjavík.

Here's my list of fun (and cheap) things to do in Reykjavík:

1. Visit the Pearl (Perlan). There you have a view over the whole of Reykjavík. The restaurant in Perlan was voted The World's best Rotating Restaurant". If the restaurant is to expensive, they hav ea Caféteria. See www.perlan.is

2. Visit Hallgrímskirkja and go to the top. The church tower is 75 meters high. See www.hallgrimskirkja.is

3. Have a romantic picnic in the park of Einar Jónsson Art Museum. See www.lej.is

4. Visit the Phallogical Museum, the only penis museum in the world. See www.phallus.is

5. Sit in the sun on the best porch town in Bryggjan Café in the Maritime Museum. See maritimemuseum.is.

6. Go clubbing! The Reykjavík nightlife is completely crazy and Hollywood superstars are often seen in the clubs since many movies are filmed here.

7. Go Sea Angling in the Reykjavík Harbour. If you want organized tours, see www.specialtours.is and www.elding.is. If you have a fishing rod and want to do it for free, go fish some mackerel yourself.

8. Hike on mountain Esja, just outside Reykjavík.

9. Go to Nauthólsvík beach if you like jogging, sea swimming, sauna og geothermal pools.

10. Have a Hot tub conversation. Visit any of our many thermal pools, sit in a hot tub (Heiti potturinn) and chat about the weather and politics - just like Icelanders do!

To eat:

Skyr, malt, flatkökur, hangikjöt, rúgbrauð, síld, harðfiskur, kleinur, ástarpungar, kúlusúkk, djúpur...

You can have all this in local supermarkets or you can go to Íslenski barinn (The Icelandic Bar), see www.islenski.is, where you can also have Ópal and Tópas shots, Brennivín and shark.

Have fun in Iceland!

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness is worth living for, memories are worth the experience. Have fun and don't regret too much.
