I'm from a tiny town in The Westfjords of Iceland. I want to see the world and continue learning more languages. I'm a philosopher at heart and journalist by training. I used to work as a communications officer for UNICEF but now I'm out traveling.

Currently I am in Casablanca, and staying in Morocco for 5 weeks before leaving for Moscow and the Trans Siberian Train to China.

The things that motivate me the post: the environment and saving our planet, feminism, children's rights and sailing.

I am on couchsurfing because I believe in the sharing economy and it is also so much more fun to travel and meet and stay with locals instead of wondering about alone. I travel alone quite a lot and I enjoy the company of new friends.

I tend to buy to many books because I just want to read them all and then I end up having three half finished books next to my bed.
