Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that there's nothing as interesting as visiting a place with people that practice it. Bordeaux is a complex town with it's (so french) shape of croissant and it took me a while before understanding well how it was working. A first biking visit with a local would probably have helped a lot. Moreover, couchsurfing seems to be a way to meet people that shares the values of generosity, social mixing and trust in each other wich are really important to me.

Hard to say..
In term of music, i'd say i'll never be dissapointed by an Otis Redding, nor a Lou Reed, nor the Smiths, nor Dave Brubeck.. Depending on the current mood !
In terms of Movies, i have a particular interest in documentaries but love cinema from Hitchcock to Cronenberg, de Palma, Jarmush, Godard, Resnais, Carrax, Bruno Dumont...
Books... depending on the mood again but i'll enjoy as much novels from Pennac or Auster as an Nietzche essay..

Teach, Learn, Share

First, i think i can be a great guide for the south west France area. Born and raised in La Rochelle with familly in Bordeaux and Bayonne's areas, i had the opportunity to explore that region a lot, from the sea side to the high mountains, big towns to small villages. So if you're planing on coming here but not have planned too much, i could help give your trip a real french taste and avoid over touristic locations.
Then I speak French, English and am improving my Spanish a lot so I could also help with languages!
I'd love to learn about WHATEVER you have to share. I'm basically curious and open minded so everyone is welcome.
As i worked for almost to years as a cook in restaurants in France and abroad (and am a food lover most of all) i could share about french cooking traditions and would love to learn about yours!
