Overview
About Me
Fairly new user on this site. A young enthusiastic student wanting to explore the world and see how different cultures live for myself! I am a big music enthusiast and also love doing any sort activities outdoors. I also probably fill the Canadian stereotype pretty accurately; friendly, says "sorry" when people bump into me, ends many questions with "eh?", used to the cold, BIG hockey fan. I am not one for clubbing/partying, would rather spend my time exploring new places, however I am always up for chatting over a beer or something. Excited to meet new people and make lasting memories wherever I travel!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am just finishing up my university exchange in Bordeaux France and am embarking on an adventure full of travelling amazing cities, exploring the great outdoors and learning from new cultures! I think one of the amazing things about this planet is that there are such big differences in the lives we all live, however there are also similarities in everyone's lives. Embracing those similarities and learning about the differences is an incredible way for us to be more knowledgeable regarding our globalized society. Would love to meet new people and be able to interact with locals to have a better appreciation of their city and culture!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I'm a pretty musical individual. I've played piano and violin for over 8 years now and really enjoy listening to most kinds of music. However I'm mainly into indie, folk, or alternative music. Some of my favourite bands include Coldplay, Mumford & Sons, Switchfoot, and the Arkells.
Movies:
Big Lord of the Rings fan! Hands down the greatest trilogy of movies ever created. Some of my other favourites include Inception, Lala Land, Baby Driver, Sing Street, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Whiplash (you'll notice a lot of them heavily feature great music).
Books:
To be quite honest I haven't really read many books recently (other than textbooks) but I was a big fan (and still am) of the Series of Unfortunate Events books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While spending some time in Australia I had the opportunity to go on 2 day trip on a sailboat out to the Great Barrier Reef where I also got PADI certified (scuba diving). Saw some pretty incredible marine life including a hammerhead shark, sea turtles and most memorably a pack of dolphins surfing the front of our boat!
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't have much to share other than good conversation and a grateful attitude :)
Would love to share stories with others and here others as well!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A friendly, respectful guest who does not need much. I am quite low-maintenance and will be very grateful for your hospitality. I find it amazing how many generous hosts there are around the world willing to open their homes to travelers. I am happy to be independent and not disturb you much but also open to chatting or even exploring the city with others if interested!
