About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of Europe as possible during the four months that I'm here.

ABOUT ME

I'm a very easygoing person, eager to learn as much as I can about the world. I grew up just outside of Houston, attend Northwestern University, and am currently studying abroad in Barcelona until December.

PHILOSOPHY

All's well that ends well, and if it doesn't, it's not the end.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just started my CouchSurfing Experience, and am currently just a surfer, though one day I'd like to be able to host when I'm back in the States. As long as I'm in Barcelona, I'm without a couch, but would be glad to show anyone around the city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far, but I hope to get started as soon as possible!

Interests

I study Economics, Mathematics, and Spanish, so I suppose those interest me. Apart from that, I'm a classical pianist and also play the saxophone. Other than that, I love exposing myself to new cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'll watch pretty much anything.

Music: I listen to a lot of hard rock/heavy metal, but mostly bands with comprehensible vocals. I especially like symphonic metal bands like Nightwish, Epica and Within Temptation. Sonata Arctica is another favorite. I also enjoy playing music on the piano, especially Chopin, Beethoven, Debussy and Albéniz.

Books: I don't read a lot of books on my own, but I prefer gothic romances. My favorites would have to by Melmoth the Wanderer by Charles Robert Maturin and Dracula by Bram Stoker.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped off a cliff into the Mediterranean off the Costa Brava.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I know a bit about cooking, especially baking. I suppose I could also teach a bit of piano and I have a tiny bit of experience teaching beginner salsa dancing.

Learn: I'd like to learn as much of whatever I can, though particularly I'd like to learn a bit more about cooking.
