I'm a high school chemistry teacher in my mid-20's. I was introduced to couchsurfing while cycling across Europe following the EuroVelo 6 trail, and I was blown away by the kindness of strangers who took me in, gave me good food and a warm place to sleep, and most of all, were excellent company and now new friends. Meeting people had to be one of my favorite parts of this trip, and I want to pay it forward, help others who are traveling, and make new friends.

I'm a single guy with a house. I have a spare room with a full bed that can fit two people. I'm not a great cook and I don't have a large variety of food, but I'm happy to do what I can for you. I think I can help you out if you are vegetarian, but my food is definitely not vegan... sorry. There's no smoking in my house, I have no pets, and I would prefer no pets be brought.

Most of all, I'm excited to meet with and talk to new people, hear about your experiences, see what we have in common, and form lasting friendships.

Interests

I love movies! Discovering new ones, discussing them - blockbusters, independent, low-budget-high-concept, foreign, anime - I love it all! My perfect weekend includes at least one movie and a bucket of popcorn.

I love podcasts! I listen to lots of comedies and audio dramas. Always open to discussing them and hearing suggestions.

I like to run long distance. My dream is to do an Iron Man Triathlon one day.

I enjoy a good beer. Dark ones are my favorite - stouts and porters - but I'll drink anything with you.

Ran a marathon and am currently biking the EuroVelo 6 (starting from Basel, Switzerland, and ending at the Black Sea in Romania).
