About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring the world for inspiration and helping others where I can. I love doing community work.
ABOUT ME
I was born in New Zealand and enjoy showing other Couchsurfers a bit of Kiwi (NZ) culture. I love creativity, art, city spaces, nature and outdoors, architecture, beaches, working with the community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd love to share with others the joy of Kiwi (New Zealand) culture and the wonderful place I call home. At the same time, I would appreciate the chance to experience other cultures and explore places I have never been to before! Meeting others through couchsurfing or being able to stay in someone's place is such a rich way of experiencing a country.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfed on an old couch in Melbourne for a few days and was saved by some generous people in New York and New Jersey who offered to let me stay when my Air BNB was terrible.
I've had people stay over on my couch occasionally, on and off of Couchsurfing. In the past I've also shown people from Paris, Germany, Italy and Taiwan around Auckland and gave some Melbourne architects an architectural tour of Auckland.
I've met some amazing people from Japan, Europe and America via this site, most of whom I would see again.
Interests
Get along with most people even if we don't share interests. Always keen to see what other people get up to.

Music, Movies, and Books
Inception, Trance (movie), fantasy fiction, non-fiction (esp with lots of cool pictures and diagrams), all types of music but mainly rock music, a very varied playlist.. NZ rock scene/gigs are great though!
Behind the Scenes at the Museum is a very funny novel if you want a laugh!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Japan, going up the tower in Umeda, a building I had studied and was a fan of in Architecture School, meeting two American travellers at the top then going with them to the 'Beer Garden'. Good times!
Teach, Learn, Share
I show people the more local side of Auckland. Let me know if you want a local tour, everything is super close around Auckland via car and I don't mind a drive. Previous spots I've gone with Couchsurfers are Mt Eden, Takapuna (North Shore beachy suburb), Titirangi (bushy west suburb), and the beach for a swim.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can show you around spots which are hard to get to via public transport (the buses are not very good here) and share a meal together at one of my favourite eateries.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Cook Islands, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
