About Me

*Updated: 25-5-2019*

"Always be yourself. Unless you can be a unicorn, then always be a unicorn 🦄"

Sorry I'm going to through a unicorn phase, hard to explain.

I'm a social geek :-D Love movies, games, tech, physics, philosophy, but love to party more! :) Failed at school (but pretty great at life... so far...) I Worked as a paper boy, cook, bartender, computer salesman and now i'm a webdeveloper! Born and raised in Breda by my lovely Polish parents.

My philosophy? "Do more for others, then you would do for yourself"
I'm not saying this is the best way to live your life, it got me in enough trouble. But it keeps things exciting.

And in the end it's all about the people you meet in your life and the moments you share with them, the good and bad! and you need the sour to enjoy the sweet...
Ok, enough with the quotes.

I did some adventurous backpacking trips with two of my friends through former Yugoslavia, and some unprepared trips through the Scottish Highlands, which almost killed me :-D and I had some awesome couchsurfing experiences in New York! Saw a lot of Europe, and a little bit of the USA.

Sadly didn't do a lot of traveling the last 5 years, but things are looking better for the future!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Doing my best hosting people in Breda, and showing them a good time. And joining the occasional Meetup, but this has been some time ago.

Interests

I'm a 'techy', raised with the computer mouse in my hand, and never lost interest in it. Fascinated by the internetz and how it's changing the world, always keeping an eye out for future technologies :-)

Heavy philosophical questions about life (42) or which Vodka is the best (not Smirnoff). open minded at heart, and a strong belief that laws are guidelines (at least, most of them :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't read a lot of books, I have read some classics like 1984, Die veranderung, Animal Farm, etc

Music, I don't have a main thing there... It depends on my mood, age, the place and the people I'm with (from folk, to dub-step).

But I love movies! My friend Daan Wallis (also on CS) is a real movie fanatic, and he learned me a lot about the classics, and the really good movies (foreign, old black and white, you get the idea) But that doesn't mean I don't like movies like Kick-Ass (or lesbian vampire killers ;o). I like the sci-fi genre the most. Marvel movies are my guilty pleasure. But movies like interstellar really get my blood pumping!
