ABOUT ME

Hmm well let's see...I absolutely love reading! I'm sure you guessed that based on my nickname. My co-workers were actually the ones who started calling me that. I am a very family and friends oriented person. I'm extremely extroverted and I talk a lot! =P I think I'm pretty easy to get along with and love to have fun.

I love learning about Japan; the culture, language, and of course their anime and manga. I would like to travel and learn more about other cultures and countries as well. I also love meeting new people and forming new friendships!

I'm kind of a picky eater (believe me I wish I weren't). Mostly I don't eat red meat. I like chicken, turkey, and fish though! I can eat some tacos & tacquitos. I enjoy going out for tea on occasion and currently my favorite spot is Chado Tea in Pasadena. Hmm...what else is there to say? Get to know me yourself! ^___^

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a few couches while traveling through Europe with a friend. I've also met up with a few surfers who were staying close to my area. As of right now I live in a very full household and do not have a couch to share. I hope to have one available when I finally have a place of my own. Until then I would enjoy crashing on an open couch and meeting up for coffee to show visitors the town!

Intereses

As I said in the about me I like anime and manga. I usually stick to shoujo but I like some shonen too. I am trying to learn Japanese and have had a passion for it for years. I eventually want to try picking up Spanish again. Never really learned it well but I'll start with 1 language at a time. I would also like to learn how to play the piano some day. I enjoy Lindy/East Coast swing dancing and I want to learn salsa and some other Latin dances. =) I recently started bowling with a group of friends at least twice a week. If you've never bowled you should try it!

Some of my all time favorite movies are Beauty and the Beast, Pride and Prejudice (both the movie and BBC mini series!), and You've Got Mail. I like a lot of chick-flicks too.

I like a lot of music but I guess I would have to say mostly anything I can swing dance to, pop/hip-hop, country, oldies, and some other stuff. I'm pretty picky about rock music. Its kind of a hit or miss with me and I absolutely don't like metal and scream-o type music. >.< lts Not my cup of tea but if its yours then you can enjoy it for me. ^.^
