About Me
CURRENT MISSION
meet new people in my hometown Ghent!
ABOUT ME
I was born in Ghent, a medium-sized town in Northern Belgium. Most of my young life, I spend in that city. I went to school, and started my university studies over there. During the last half year of these studies, I went on Erasmus to Istanbul. Afterwards, I moved to Brussels for two years to study at a French-speaking university.
From 2011 to 2013, I lived in Agadir, Morocco, where I worked in a drinking water program of the Belgian development agency. Now I'm back in Belgium and I would love to meet new people through CouchSurfing in my hometown.
I've been a leader in a youth movement for disabled children for five years. I like to travel and to meet people with other cultural backgrounds. Although Belgium is a beer country par excellence, I love having a good conversation with a glass of tea.
PHILOSOPHY
Three of my favorite quotes:
"Life is like a tree, alone and free. And like a forest, connected" - Nazim Hikmet
"Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better." - Samuel Beckett
"Resistance does not start with big words but with small deeds" - Remco Campert
