About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Going back to school to study music!

ABOUT ME

I am a self-taught musician/vocalist with a wide range of influences. I've spent much of my life traveling in search of like-minded people to collaborate with, and after 10 years, have decided that I need to move to the city and get serious if I want to really get anywhere with my music. Great educational opportunities, and a large diverse population are the local resources I am most excited about here in Portland!

PHILOSOPHY

In 2006 I began studying Judaism, became very religious and moved to Israel. A year in Jerusalem showed me that the lifestyle was not for me, but I gained very much from the experience. I have since dropped those artificial shackles and put my faith in humanity in general, and believe I am in a much better place now spiritually. Although I sometimes find myself "philosophizing about how philosophizing may be a complete waste of time" (lol!), I can't help accepting upon myself a certain duty to help others on their paths drawing from my intense, unique experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am starting school in Portland and looking for a place, so I plan on surfing until things come together.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always lived in homes that are very open to travelers, and love to extend hospitality when I am able to, and make pizza!

Interests

I love all kinds of art, science and philosophy, especially cognitive neuroscience that focuses on music perception.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching my 90 year old grandmother play Chopin! I find her level of sensitivity with the ebb and flow of the tempo to be top-notch. I really look up to her as a musician.

Check her out!

Teach, Learn, Share

I do beginner vocal coaching, instrument lessons, composition and production work. I love to show people how easy music can be once you break through the veils, and that you do not need to be born with "talent" to be a star.
