ABOUT ME

A Russian girl with a cosmopolitan soul. Actually a young-looking woman in her mid-30s. I guess I'm a late bloomer, never willing to grow up. English is both my passion and my work. I translate, teach, and write. I've had various jobs in different fields during my 15-year career, so I'm quite spontaneous and hate routine. Totally out of the office system (Aquarius, if you know what I mean).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started using CS (sounds like a drug, but it really is) 8 years ago in my crazy hitchhiking trip across 13 countries (from San Francisco to Rio).

Interests

I'm an artistic soul, exploring various areas: drawing (mostly collages), designing recycled clothes, and various handcrafts and DIY projects.

Music is my fuel, food, and air. There's a song by CSC called "Music Is My Boyfriend" that totally resonates with me. Regardless of the style, the right music just kicks in and stays with me. The same goes for movies; sometimes it's overwhelming, so binge-watching is my guilty pleasure.

Mindfulness, esoterics, mind-body practices, and naturopathy are also significant parts of my life.

I'm still getting to know my true self; it's kind of a lifetime hobby. I've been in personal psychotherapy (just talking, no pills) for 5 years now. It was a wise decision at the time to save myself from myself, but sometimes I feel like I made a huge mistake because the changes aren't coming as quickly as I had hoped.
