I'm a fun loving guy who enjoys making new friends and hopes to stick to his goal of backpacking to new locations every year!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in living life to the fullest, and not to be negatively influenced or affected by others. As long as one maintains a positive outlook, life can never be too unbearable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a couple of people over here in Singapore and brought them around. I've also been hosted in Taiwan, Korea, Japan and hopefully in other locations in the future as well!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Planning to get to know more couchsurfers and surf some couches in my upcoming trip to Japan and Hong Kong. (:

Interests

A group of 4 Taiwanese girls provided me a couch in Kaohsiung in their rented apartment and that 3 days I was with them were the happiest of the entire trip to Taiwan then. I remember we all woke up at like 5am to bike all the way to the coast to see the sunrise, it was surreal zooming down the nearly empty roads along the way!

Music, Movies, and Books

The Star Wars series, Any fantasy series by David Eddings. Also a huge fan of music composed by the venerable Nobuo Uematsu, especially the Final Fantasy series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to scale Bukhansan in South Korea a few years back and it was my first time hiking/mountain climbing. I was amazed by how fit and fast all the ahjummas and ahjussis were in climbing that mountain, and even more amazed by the breathtaking sight when I finally got to the peak. The sheer cliffs with the entire city of Seoul as its backdrop remained firmly etched in my memory even till today.

Teach, Learn, Share

My mentor once told me stepping out of your safety zone and being adventurous in experiencing new things train one's responsibility and maturity, and I fully agree with this. Be creative, explore all possibilities, experience the impossible, and live a fulfilling and engaging life.
