Overview
About Me
I'm twenty-eight years old and looking for a direction in my life, but not lost. Currently a freelance (copy)writer/translator. I just graduated History and Philosophy, and love writing. When traveling I most enjoy walking unknown streets and meeting new and inspiring people. If you're up for a walk and maybe showing me your favorite small unknown neighborhood, you would make me a very happy man.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
1) I love hosting people.
2) I love meeting people.
3) Idealistically, the more we can avoid financing companies (for example, hotels), and learn to depend on each other by providing each other with help (for example, couches) the more I feel people can learn to trust each other. Which is key in becoming happy.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like to read a lot. Over the past few years I've really gotten into David Foster Wallace. My favorite book would have to be Infinite Jest, having read it twice and still thinking about the characters, their dreams and setbacks and subtle everyday heroism. If you want to talk about the death of irony and its place in our language as a universal acid, I'm your guy. But I also really enjoy all kinds of movies. Trying to catch up on my 80s action flicks.
Big fan of all kinds of music - lots of hiphop, ambient, minimal, hardcore, shoegaze, dreampop, pop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed mountain in the French alps, nothing to see but rocks and clouds. The wind beat our faces and there was no sign of life for miles in any direction. That morning we'd slept next to a lake next to a campfire, stars overhead and the mountains on the other shore reflecting in the water. it was immense.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a philosophy major I'm always up for talking about the role of the Darwinian revolution in our daily lives, or the extent to which it is possible for people to be honest towards each other and especially themselves, and which role irony plays in those relationships. Or we can engage in hilarious toilet humor.
I really like proper talking, even better if we're cooking up a good meal at the same time.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A proper meal and a house that's at least as clean as when I got there (unless you happen to be giving a big party...).
