About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find the Secret to life and do a full split, I'm almost there ...

ABOUT ME

I've tried to write the coolest profile, but alas to no avail. Plus I'm now thinking this is quite narcissistic talking about oneself, isn't it? So here's my ego: If I'm not doing something new, meeting new people, or not learning something I didn't know before, I get mega-bored, and I guess that's why I keep moving and living in new places. I've actually counted I've lived (not just visited) in 6 different countries.
I'm way too much of a thinker, I was even a researcher for the brain, my job was to think about thinking. Sometimes I wonder if I go overboard with thinking and I think I better stop thinking. And after all this I have realized I know nothing at all!

PHILOSOPHY

"I don't know Marge, trying is the first step to failure."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've really met some wonderful people. People I would never otherwise meet. All of them has been a pleasure to hang out with

Interests

Sports: judo, boxing, wrestling, although now with all my injuries and especially since I've been back in US I'm getting too fat!!!
Food: Having lived in Japan and Europe for 7 years now I have learned American food sucks and its better everywhere else!
Movies: I'm more into certain directors like Francis Ford Coppola, Doug Liman, Ridley Scott, Michael Mann

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything non-fiction, history, psychology, linguistics. No work of fiction can come close to a good recount of real-life events - life is stranger than fiction. I hardly ever read a book completely through. I skim through them and get the general gist of what they are trying to say. Ask me in person why I do that....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had several amazing experiences, from teaching in Mongolia and slaughtering/eating sheep with the nomads (sorry you vegitarians), to working in Tokyo (working 30 straight days once and thus almost dying), to being interrogated by the Chinese secret police at 3 am (seriously - and very scarrrry) to just meeting new people in my travels and hearing their amazing lives!

Teach, Learn, Share

Ask me anything about the brain. I was doing research on it. The brain and psychology and behavior. It's one of my passions
