About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Did it! Going on sabbatical for a year. Living up to the old Mission: Live as much as I can with the handcuffs of real life!

ABOUT ME

I was born in Eugene Oregon. I'm just a chill guy that likes to enjoy life. I studied Mechanical Engineering and studied abroad in two different places. First semester in Taiwan the the second in Germany. It was some of the greatest travels in my life. You learn a lot about yourself when you strand yourself in a foreign country to LIVE for months and not know how to speak, read, write, and not know a single soul . . . TWICE! Back to back :) It wasn't long until I started learning the language and met some really cool people. The culture was awesome, from a conservative Asian society to a very liberal European society. I finally graduated college :( and decided to travel the world again and blow every dollar I owned before starting my career. I went to Australia and New Zealand for 3 months and then back to Germany for one month. It was a great trip, many good friends and family to see. But started work and had been here for almost 6 year. Time to spread the wing again and hit the road! I managed to get a 1 year leave with the company and now I have planned an epic trip. South America, Europe, then Asia. I hope to climb many rocks, meet many people, and even join a Buddhist monastery. Go out and live life and see if I can center myself and figure out what really matters in life.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is good, live it up. You get so much more from life by doing things. Be outgoing, do things you normally wouldn't, meet people you normally won't. Don't be afraid of the unknown. People, relationships, and experiences are the things that will mean the most to you in life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all forms of art. You can't list all that's good in this little box. In general, I like movies with plot and good acting, duh. The Usual Suspects is a classic, the new Batman series is fun, Shawshank Redemption is good. I really like all sorts of music but I guess of all of if, I listen to mellow stuff more often. I like classic rock and alternative. That's what I usually play on the guitar. I also really like classical guitar. Respect on those talents greatly. Books ... Everything Matters was a good one I just read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing? Hmmmm, I've been from the great wall to down under to Europe . . . When I was in Tasmania, we went to Wine Glass bay, a by only accessible by hike. There we saw wild Wallabies that same up to us and let us pet them. We then proceeded to through the 1.5 hour hike to the bay where a pod of dolphins were swimming. In middle of winter, we proceeded to strip to our boxers and dive in and swim with these wild dolphins. They came right to us, curious of who we are, and jumped over our heads and swam under us. That was an experience of a lifetime.

Teach, Learn, Share

Advice from the older brother, "There's two great things I've learned in my day. Never go looking for love, you will only get hurt. And when you're sick in the bathroom, never try to lift yourself my the towel rack."

I'm an certified professional engineer with the state of California. I've worked with Pacific Gas and Electric so I have experience with electric substations and gas pipelines. I have many hobbies and am willing to gain or share whatever knowledge I have!
