About Me

I am currently on a road trip of indeterminate length. I work a part-time telecommuting job as a market researcher in the food and agriculture sector. I spend the rest of my time dancing tango and rock climbing. I finished grad school in July 2015 and am living in my Honda Element. Free showers and laundry are greatly appreciated. :)

I am a professional foodie. I have a B.S. in Sustainable Agriculture and an MBA in Supply Chain Management. I plan to increase institutional access (ex: Whole Foods, public schools, hospitals) to local food through supply chain and operational solutions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Bikers who cross the USA on the trans-america bicycle route often stop in front of my homes in Virginia and Kentucky we often invite them in for a place to stay. We have taken bikers in for dinner, out to parties, traded music, had wonderful conversations, given beds, or simply opened our peaceful pastures for pitching a tent.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked as a photographer and English teacher at a biological research station in the Peruvian Amazon for one summer. Working with biologists from and the world, I got lost in remote palm swamps, encountered 26 foot anacondas, photographed illegal gold mining sites along the river bank, and hid from herds of huanganas (wild pigs). Sometimes I wonder if that summer is a figment of my imagination.
