ABOUT ME

I'm an outgoing, friendly person. My memory is terrible, so I have trouble holding grudges. I can be a bit of a homebody but I always have a blast once my friends get me out the door.

Centres d'intérêt

I love traveling to new places, reading, planning events and taking my dog on walks. I'm currently trying to teach myself Somali with varied results. In terms of traveling, I like especially staying in places for a while so that I get can get a bit settled and cozy and go exploring.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Seeing Victoria Falls was awe-inspiring. It's really surprising how you can walk right to the top of the falls--at your own risk, of course!

My semester in Botswana was one of the happiest times in my life. I loved being surrounded by new people and new ways of doing things. One of my favorite conversations had to be discussing how to survive a zombie attack with a local friend. His solution? "Hit it with a rock." I think he'd survive.

I'm not sure if this is an "awestruck" sort of moment, but one of my favorite traveling moments happened while I was in Bavaria with a friend. He came down with a stomach bug while we were staying with his great-aunt, Tante Gudrund. Her cure was to feed him shots of peach schnapps to "kill the germs." I like her style.
