About Me

hi there.

i like to be outside and explore my surroundings, means im open to almost everything i guess. at least im trying to be. i love hiking, biking, paddeling, slacklining, photographing, writing, blogging (https://www.behance.net/fernmeldung) talking, obviously things that end with -ing and visiting supermarkets and railwaystations in foreign countries because i think both give interesting and mostly unfiltered views on the culture and society of a country. what might be more interesting for anyone who is hosting me: im reliable and easy-to-handle.

As I just finished my master-thesis and my girlfriend Elena took 6 months off from her job, we are currently travelling to Portugal by bike. We try to do it in an relaxed way because we want to get to know the countries, culture and the people along the way - and because we're riding two old and heavy steel bikes. Along the route we're always looking for some small garden space for our tent or a couch to surf.

hope to see you soon, whoever is reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once cycled a one-week-bike-trip with a friend on more than 30 years old foldable singlespeed-bikes from the GDR. And the route was not flat. It was really hard (ask my knees) but one of the funniest trips i ever had.

Oh yes, and once I got knocked out by a punch on my head playing hide and seek in the middle of the Himalayas on over 3500m. At least that's what the others told me, i can't remember much ...

What I Can Share with Hosts
