About Me
CURRENT MISSION
go with the gut
ABOUT ME
I suppose I found myself on here because of a statistic.
A few years ago I read an article about the sibling order in families.
It said a second-born girl to an older brother is likely to lead a more homely, sheltered life.
It didn't paint a picture of how I wanted my life to be. So, right then I decided it was going to be the opposite of how I would live.
I purposefully try to say yes, give new things a go and not take the easy route. So far, it's led me to some lovely people and slightly crazy situations...
Beyond this personal mission, I'm a creative, (slightly) wilful person who tries to hack the system for good. I love to share food, stories, ideas, philosophies, cider...
PHILOSOPHY
Don't be afraid to fail, keep my eyes wide and never eat alone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I both host and surf when possible. I attend some events and occasionally (well, once) host events.
This community never fails confirm my faith in the people of the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hostly met the most open, wonderful people on this site.
Currently hold the crown for staying 12 weeks on the King & Queen of Gothenburg's Couchsurfing's sofa.
Thanks Pauline and Jonas.
Interests
I'm a fiend for learning new things. Whether it's how to brew beer or build a kiln (pottery pipe-dream). I think new experiences are good for the soul.
I'm vegan, I love to cook and explore cultures through food. I have a million tabs open on the laptop, most of which are food blogs. Planning my next feast.
On down days I'll find a cafe to drink some good coffee and sit for hours with a good book or a note pad.
I bike, i love how it shrinks the city and that my own two little legs are powering me around the place -I get a kick out of that.
I love art -from Rothko to live gigs.
I run a tech start up so digital is a bit part of my world. I love books that bring clarity. Podcasts. Drinking cold cider on sunny days, cooking big meals for good friends and dancing without shoes into the night.
