About Me

Im 26 years old and living in Istanbul right now. I am a marine engineer so i love to travel :) I spent all my life here until I moved to İstanbul for university but I came back to my hometown after I graduated. I am very much interested meeting new people, listening to their stories and sharing our experiences about life. I traveled to several countries such as Indonesia, Italy, Russia, Greece and Spain by ship while working and I realized I really enjoy traveling. Being in the ship for a long time can sometimes be boring but overall it's an interesting experience. I can tell you more about it if you're curious.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After I started my job I realized traveling is one of the best things to do in your whole life. Then I found this site and I thought maybe i can host people from another countries or travel to country by myself and meet another people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live in Gallipoli(Gelibolu) which is a suburb of Çanakkale--it's 1 hour away from Çanakkale city center. Gelibolu is a smaller place compared to Çanakkale and it was a great battlefield during the Gallipoli Campaign during WW1. It's easy to access, there is a ferry service working 24/7 between two sides of the strait. I believe it is a place worth seeing.

There are many places to visit near Gallipoli. I know quite a lot about the area so I can help you understanding about the history and what to do around here. There are nice places by the sea to sit and have a local drink. I don't know if you know Turkish Rakı but if you like it or would like to try, we can go to a really nice place by the sea.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Peru, Russian Federation, Spain, Thailand, United States
