HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It is a bit of an understatement to tell you that I love to travel. I go places just to know what life is like - - to find the light in strange places - - to be rather than to do. Since I have been helped along the way by many kind fellow-travelers, I'd like to host a few and pay it forward.

As it stands I do not have a lot of time or spare monies to travel at the moment, but am hoping to plan a few small domestic trips within the U.S. After I graduate with my MA and get back in the groove I'm aiming for Chile.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Can't tell you that I have used this website before, although I have engaged with the local couch-surfing community through social events. I do have a rich personal tradition of independently surfing on hospitable couches in Philadelphia, PA, Santa Barbara, CA, various locations in southern Mexico, and in Washington, D.C. Over the years I've been able to give a space to travelers now and then, too.
