Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm in Europe on exchange now *now finished*. I joined this website 3 years ago but have never needed to use it until now, since I have booked many trips to other countries.

Interests

Trinkets, longboarding, people, stories, adventure, hitchhiking, learning, breathing, yoga, dancing, jumping up and down, wearing my Afro, playing things by ear, spontaneity, being reckless, being polite, studying other languages, appreciating art, good vibes, spending time with children as they naturally support your inner child. I love film as well including making and editing videos + photojournalism. I am a cat person. Dogs I am finally getting used to.

I just want to get deeper. 🌊

Music, Movies, and Books

So I love music. Particularly I'm into hip-hop and trap beats, but I love all kinds especially a great score. Heard of Hayao Miyazaki or Joe Hisaishi? How about Tom Hanks movies? CHRISTMAS movies. I read enough literature for school as far as books so I don't have a great list yet :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked to Paris from an airport 2 hours away. Jogged along Nevksy river in pursuit of my tour bus. Climbed atop a pyramid. Won a silver tripod for a short movie I made in Rome and Florence, Italy. Finally chose my major! Dual majoring in Global Studies and Peace and Conflict. Payed for my own flight to LA and back. Driven a celebrity unknowingly to her venue. Had escargot and loved it. Been in love. Fallen out of love. Road tripped to the beach 4 hours from home alone and loved it. Met and befriended more than a couple strangers who have crossed my path. Made it to Sweden to study on exchange. Marched in downtown Greensboro, NC for Muslim and Immigrant Rights. Attended the Inauguration in 2017 and marched for Women's Rights the day. Many many road-trips. :)
