Overview
About Me
I like to think of myself as incredibly laid back and easy to get along with. I may be a bit of an idealist, but I always look for the best in people and rarely am I disappointed in what I find.
I was a teacher for many years. Most recently I taught Advanced Placement level Maths (Calculus and Statistics). I'm not in the classroom anymore, but I still believe I'm at my best when I'm helping others reach theirs.
I have an insatiable curiosity and I plan on spending the rest of my life guided by it.
I'm a man of logic and reason, though have recently found a spiritual side of myself I never knew I had.
I LOVE new experiences. "Comfort" to me is just something that holds you back. If you're not uncomfortable, you're not growing.
Most of all though, I just love life and all the people that I meet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing mostly. (I hope to be in a situation before long where I can easily host, but I'm usually not living anyplace that people want to visit :) )
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed in Kenya, El Salvador, Southeast Asia, the East coast of Australia, and around the US.
Interests
Meeting and helping others, anything involving water or swimming, traveling, film, math, the outdoors, musical theatre.
Most importantly, anything that is new, exciting, and pushes me out of my comfort zone.

Teach, Learn, Share
I've been traveling quite a bit lately and I'm more than happy to offer travel advise.
I could also give some swimming lessons as I was a coach for 2 years. :)
I'm constantly interested in learning. Anything and everything. Bring it on!
