It seems like the ideal way of travelling to me. Immediately getting to know the people who live in the country I visit enriches the experience so very much

I love reading, and writing too, sometimes. Dancing is another of my favourite activities, alone or with a partner (I recently began learning some latin dances) and to most kinds of music.
About a year ago I took up crochet and am totally hooked.

Music, Movies, and Books

Depends on my mood, but mostly upbeat. Sad music makes me sentimental.
With movies it's essentially the same, though I do love good thrillers.
And books...oh, too many to count, but here are some that REALLY left an impression: Some of Haruki Murakami's, One Hundred Years of Solitude, The Grapes of Wrath, Winnie the Pooh, The Master and Margarita
