About Me

A lawyer/student, born and raised in Istanbul. Lived in the UK, the USA and France before. I love visiting different countries and more importantly learning about different cultures. Hoping to visit every country in the world and even beyond :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my travels, I learned that the best way to learn about local cultures is to stay with locals and share stories with them. I believe Couchsurfing provides the best platform for it. I think unless you make a friend from the country you visit, you never really learn about that country. That's why i am on Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a favorite music since I enjoy different types and if I have to talk about my favorite song, that would change from time to time. These days: Love - Reign Over Me

Favorite movies is also a long list :) Godfather - Braveheart - Forest Gump - V for Vendetta - Lord of the Rings and many more.

Books: Books written by Robert Ludlum, Dan Brown and Jean-Christophe Grangé is one category of the books I really enjoy. I must add Kite Runner and Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage by Murakami.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did volunteer work in the animal shelter. Although this is not my only voluntary work, when I must talk about one amazing thing, this comes to my mind.

Teach, Learn, Share

"Unless you make a friend from the country you visit, you never really learn about that country."

As a life-long student, I am definitely open to learning. As for teaching, I don't really know since I don't know what to teach :) About sharing, I believe everything multiplies by sharing.
