Recent arrival to Reading, UK, and trying my best to be excited about a British winter :) I love meeting new people and sharing stories, adventures, and food.

In 2017 I finished a Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies, and cycled around the South Island of New Zealand. My background is in not for profit management, volunteerism, peacebuilding, and programme development.

I get excited about many things, including travel, environmental sustainability, good music, good art, the outdoors, cycling, mountains, a good chinwag, yoga, and delicious coffee. All together sometimes.

I fricking love the outdoors. If I could be in the mountains every weekend hiking, camping and drinking good whiskey, I would be.

I use to play a fair bit of music, these days I tend to listen more. I love well written lyrics, and story telling through music, so I am drawn to folk. I also enjoy blues, jazz, dub, electronic, and actually most music, if there is some substance.

Movies- sometimes :)

Books- yes, many. Recently, I've been reading in the post-colonial genre mainly from India. It gets pretty serious sometimes, and that's when I look at NZ news to find a headline about kittens stuck in trees.

I don't know about amazing, but randomly there was this one time I was on national television in Chile singing Jonny Cash at a public concert. I had no idea at the time, but it scored many cool points with the students in my english classes!

I can teach you some beginner yoga poses, meditation and pranayama if you are interested. I am learning to climb, and keen to share outdoor adventures.
