ABOUT ME

I am a mother of ason of 21years who is away at uni. I work with people who have mental health issues on an organic garden site in the heart of Oxford. I love the outdoors but now find the cold in England more difficult! I have just been to New Zealand and Australia for 6 weeks which was wonderful and I found it difficult settling back into routine but I'm ok now!
I am a buddhist and practise as a member of SGI-UK, we chant and meet for inspiration. Buddhism in a nutshell has made me more confident and happy!

PHILOSOPHY

Humanistic I suppose....respecting people and their beliefs.....Buddhist philosophy of overcoming obstacles and finding the opportunity in all situations. Challenging myself to overcome my fears and live my dreams!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am happy to have people occasionally to stay and I can give them a bit of info on Oxford.
I would like the odd stay at another couch surfers place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with the daughter of a good friend of mine and her and her partner are coach surfers. This was in Sydney and they were great fun to be with!

Interesses

Walking and sitting in a cafe with a good friend over a cuppa!
I'd like to visit more places in the uk and world.
Relaxing with a book or the paper.
Buddhism and interfaiths - we need to respect each others faiths and beliefs
Meeting people.
Spending time with my family and friends.
Outdoor gatherings when it's warm!

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

At the mo I'm reading an aussie author - tim winton as I've been in NSW for 3 weeks.
Films - Iliked 'the whale rider' and it was filmed on the east cape on nz where my mother was born.
The Kite runner - book and film were good.
I like a good mix of movies and books but dont like violence for violence sake.
Same with music a bit of a mix and I'll try anything new.
