About Me

In Brisbane. Great place for now. Would like to visit the ocean more frequently, surfing friends wanted. I'm learning, because when ever do we stop learning? if you skate, that's good too, I started learning because the ocean is far away for after work sneaky surfs.

ABOUT ME

I moved to Brisbane after travelling around the QLD region. Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast areas. I'm working advising people on how to adjust their home and commercial swimming pool water and equipment ( not super exciting, but I like the water treatment side). I am learning to skate and really miss the ocean living in the city.

Born in Limburg, The Netherlands, growing up in New Zealand. Travelling Australia, enjoying the sun and hopefully the ocean soon.

PHILOSOPHY

You only live once. Be kind. Share. Be considerate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Want to meet more travelers, explore the Queensland Coast. Do some HelpX/Woofing. Go out for some dancing/night time fun and adventure around the places I visit. Up for hosting Cs members, yet I have a bunch of house mates who I first must double check with as they sometimes also host CS members.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly staying at friends places and hosting some people. It has always worked out. Very good way to learn some local knowledge and meet great people. Find that couch surfing people are a more open minded bunch of people.

If you stay, please be considerate, clean up, I am not your Dad, and you can look after yourself. That doesn't mean I won't try and help make your stay a bit easier/more convenient. We have a shared living space, and if you are staying you should be forward thinking enough to pitch in/help out. Cook for yourself/sort your own things out.

I like sharing, and meeting people from other walks of life. Nice to see what drives and motivates people. Travelers often have an energy that is missing from every day work life balance.

NEW COUCH SURFERS - Edit your profile, don't leave it blank, and please send a request with a effort to why we should host you. This is a sharing community, not one for you to use in place of a backpackers. I am not your Mum/Dad and won't tidy up after you. When you visit someone, help out, and don't abuse the privilege of staying somewhere. Read peoples profiles. make real connections and try your best to participate in the couch surf community.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love for a wide range of music. Mostly older tunes. Electro, techno, house, Dnb, Hiphop, Funky tunes. Just don't ask me band names.... (can never remember). Fatboy Slim, Wu Tang, NoFx, DubFx, Netsky, Charli 2Na.

Festivals worth visiting, WOMAD, SONAR, Earth Frequency,
Really want to attend BOOM 2016 - Portugal

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dolphins swimming in the mouth of the Aparima haven, Riverton, New Zealand. You won't believe how big a bottle nose dolphin is and how large their teeth are until you are next to one in the ocean. Protective ocean creatures that have an amazing energy about them. Noosa June 2015 - Dolphins catching jumping fish infront of our eyes. What a funny sight.

Teach, Learn, Share

Surfing, bodyboarding, visitor information to NZ (I temporarily worked as a tour guide), spear fishing, mountain biking, water sports (though I'm no good at wake boarding), night time adventures, traveling network. Juggle? Ride a bicycle. Learn to swim (without sinking). Share some laughs. Teach you some juggling, maybe learn some tricks from you? Poi LED fun. Wheelie a bike... Love quick rides around the riverside.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Considerate, respectful and aware. Have a interesting conversation. Talk travel stories. Happy to help out and part take in any chores etc. Share travel ideas, have good chats, talk about the feeling under the silver skin. Maybe teach you how to juggle (not very well). Space and laughs
