About Me

CURRENT MISSION

getting into touch with courch surfing

ABOUT ME

I am lots of spontaneous and sometimes a little chaotic. While doing lots of different things, I rarely let me get stressed. I like hosting people to exchange ideas, learning from each other, making some music or desperately trying to make the world a better place.

PHILOSOPHY

taking the world serious with humor. This makes it easier to change it and to take it as it is. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting the world at home, having couch concerts, dreaming to break up for a bigger journey some time, making the world a better place

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

have got my first two couchsurfers in August 2012. It was fun hosting them, showing them the town and having BBQ with them in the forest nearby :) Since then, my hosting activities exploded! This is fun, if I have real time for my guests -- but it also sometimes makes me a little out of breath...

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly a music geek: classical music, jazz, folk & traditional music from all around the world, playing the piano, making music together

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite travelling experience is a social one: When I went to Japan for my first time, I had a quite elaborate idea, how different cultures may be. When I then was there, my deepest surprise was, how similar humans are despite their cultural differences.

Another favorite, also a social one: Romania was the first country that, at least on my visit 1995, was really poor by materialistic standards. But seeing how happy people can be despite this poorness made my richess relative.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share about music, physics, philosophy, permaculture, ... nearly everything.

I have my professional expertises especially in physics, mathematics and computer science.

I am composing music on a semi-professional level, mostly classical style, but my view on musical theory is quite an off-the-wall non-orthodox one :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, France, Guatemala, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, United States
