ABOUT ME

I've lived a rich and diverse life, having traveled all over the U.S. I was involved with civil-rights work and anti-war efforts in the 1960s; I lived in Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco at that time, too. I worked on tug boats on the Mississippi, Ohio, Illinois and Tennessee Rivers. I like to meet new people, exchange stories and tell jokes!

I am interested in meeting people while, at the same time, introducing the public to stories about Midwesterners' encounters with Germans and Austrians, 1933-48.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed with people all over the U.S. and I couldn't meet anyone nicer. Couch surfing hosts are awesome!

I like to play poker (Texas hold 'em), downhill skiing, watching the "Daily Show", etc.
