About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Dancing, Laughing, and Eating Delicious Food

ABOUT ME

I am a spontaneous traveler, and I tend to always have a smile on my face. I am one year out of NYC, where I was a candy coated street performer (check pictures), and am currently enjoying time back home with family and friends. I live to eat, dance, and laugh. More specifically, I appreciate delicious food, I love to salsa dance, and I am a HUGE comedy fan.

PHILOSOPHY

The Golden Rule

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favorite guest was Leone from Brazil. I was able to show him around Madison, WI, find him a place to live, a job, and join my friend group. The guy had his Masters, he was here to learn english and was surprised with an assignment to clean rooms instead of lifeguard in a resort town. He bravely reached out 2 weeks into his trip, and I was more than happy to help him out.

The best surfing experience was my time in Miami for spring break with Ryan. He was an excellent host, with great advice and cool friends. He made the trip!

Music, Movies, and Books

Book: Cradle to Cradle by Bill McDonough

Music: My first concert was James Brown, and the most recent was Ibeyi. If I can dance to it, I like it. I am really into Salsa dancing, electronic dance music, hip hop, rap, etc.

Movies: Office Space, Bulworth, Robin Hood Men in Tights

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I initiated and ran a food drive at my high school that has resulted in $27,000 dollars and 80,000+ pounds of food being donated in its ten years running.

Not sure it's amazing, but it's ridiculous. I created outfits out of candy and wore them in Time Square NYC for two years as a street performer. Check out the photos, I have lots of stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can speak fluently about sustainability, and I am something of a Latin dance instructor. I can give an excellent tour of Madison, WI and Minneapolis, MN, NYC, and advice on many many more cities.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mostly stories, highly contagious enthusiasm for your (new to me) city, dance lessons, and maybe a little arts and crafts with candy.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Mexico, Spain, United States
