About Me
Hello! I'm a 25-year-old lady with a passion for animals. I have a B.S. in Animal Sciences from the University of Kentucky. I travel with my wife, Sara, and our pack: Lexa (lab/cocker spaniel), Titus (yellow lab), and Artemis (snowshoe siamese). They are fixed, vaccinated, well-behaved, and get along with other animals. I have been spending the last few years expanding my horticulture knowledge. I've worked with blueberries, grapes, tobacco, hemp, sumac, and cannabis. I have also done volunteer work with community gardens and a solar-powered permaculture farm. I have hands-on experience with cattle (especially dairy), sheep, goats, ducks, chickens, geese, rabbits, and even a raven! Agriculture is very important to me, and I would be more than delighted to lend a hand where I can just for the learning opportunity.
I have always been very interested in paleontology, particularly marine reptiles. If chatting about dinosaurs and the evolution of modern animals is up your alley, we can certainly have some in-depth discussions. I love to cook, and can make just about anything I set my mind to - from black bean burgers to flan. I was a pescetarian for 12 years, and am now a vegetarian. Sara is also vegetarian and lactose-intolerant so we usually prepare vegan meals (or close to it, save for honey). It is probably important to note that I am allergic to smoke and lavender.
I grew up playing saxophone and a six-hole ocarina, but I don't currently have them with me. I am, however, learning a two-chamber ocarina. I am an artist, with my particular skills being drawing animals and landscapes. I also like attending magic shows and hiking. I am a progressive person, LGBTQ+, polyamory, religion or lack thereof, whatever your life choices, we'll get along.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Most of my traveling has been low-budget. From hitchhiking to riding with a convoy of painted school buses, I've experienced quite a bit. It can be rough sometimes. People were kind to me on CS, and you have no idea how much a hot shower and dry place to sleep can mean to someone. When I am in a position to do so, I would like to help others have a place to rest and recharge while they set out to see the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the Rogue-River Siskiyou National Forest, I camped very close to a pack of wolves and howled conversations back and forth.
