I come from a VERY small town in Oklahoma and I'm trying to travel the world and find my destiny with pocket change and birthday money.

I like meeting new people as long as you don't mind my awkwardness at first. Everyone has a story to tell.

My happiest moments have been while travelling somewhere. I used to convince my friends to skip school for concerts and zoo trips, anything to get away. A classic "gotta get out of this town" backstory. Ma finally learned she couldn't stop me the first time I left home at age 16 and drove to Florida in a beat up pt cruiser filled with snacks and teenagers.

Basically, I'm still in my teenage rebel stage at heart but with a bit more money and freedom.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Surprisingly, money goes pretty quick when you :
1. Don't have a stable job
2. Have to travel in a way that assures ma you're being safe
3. Love Starbucks

I also want to meet other travelers who think the same way I do. Trying to explain the appeal of crossing the country with 200$ and a backpack to someone's mom and seeing her outrage tends to get old.
One day I want to be able to go everywhere, but right now it's kind of impossible. So I have to hear about the world from others.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music but country and even then there's exceptions. I like the beats and yelling. Rn mostly Amy Winehouse and Beastie Boys

Sci fi movies and dramas are my go to. Any space movie from the 90s I automatically fall in love with. Bad horror movies are always a safe bet.

At the moment my favorite books are The Martian, Love Medicine, and Tracks. Really any book I travel with is one I can't part with.

My college roommate and I have driven a pt cruiser with no air conditioning halfway to Maine in June.

Teach, Learn, Share

Really I'm still struggling to learn how to be a person on my own. Find my purpose in life and shit ykno. I figure the only way to do that is to go out and find it and meet people who've found theirs. I might end up somewhere pretty cool or I might end up stranded, either way I can say I tried and have a story to tell.
