About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet you!

ABOUT ME

I absolutely live for travel, reading, writing, music, learning and discovering new things. I am a happy, motivated person, but I'm also very down to earth. I think all experiences in life can be valuable, so I try not to waste a moment wishing I was somewhere else.

**I am vegan!**

PHILOSOPHY

If we could lead happy and healthy lives without harming others, why wouldn't we? (Quote from Edgar's Mission animal sanctuary).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For me, traveling is largely about the people you meet while you are abroad. It can really make you feel much more comfortable when you visit a new place, if you have a couchsurfing contact there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted some fun people in Melbourne and have couch surfed in some European cities and had an amazing time. It's such a unique opportunity.

Interests

Yoga, music, reading, writing, languages, feminism, human and animal rights, theatre, film, food, dancing, Buddhism, sewing, anything creative.

I love to go out for a drink and a dance, but I am not a massive drinker and not into party drugs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2007 I got incredibly lost in the countryside near Siena, trying to find the city. I was following directions left in my hotel in very questionable English. I finally found a bus stop and got on a bus after waiting for about an hour. I asked an old man on the bus if I was going the right way, but neither of us spoke the other's language so we did our best to communicate using hand signals. He abandoned his plans, took me by the arm and got off the bus in the centre of town and showed me all the attractions of Siena, talking for about an hour in Italian. I had no idea what he was talking about, but it was a really memorable day.

Secondly, I shaved my head for the Leukaemia Foundation in 2011, and threw a big pool/cocktail party for all of my friends. They all donated very generously.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn as many languages as possible, and to practise my German whenever I can! At the moment I am travelling with a ukulele, so I can also teach you some chords.
