About Me

CURRENT MISSION

don't have one yet

ABOUT ME

Born and live in Minsk. Currently work as a software developer for a software company. Previously worked in a Belarusian scientific research institute (which is a part of the Belarusian State University).
Difficult to judge oneself. Hopefully, open-minded, calm and sincere.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

little (hope to change this in future)

Interests

Foreign languages (up to now English and German) and one native (despite the fact that I usually don't achieve the desired level of fluency); also enjoy walking alone in the park or forest (or just merely in the city); generally I tend to change my major interests in about 1.5 year. Oh, and the most recent one - riding a bike

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies. This is what just came to my mind first: Dr. Strangelove & Countdown to zero (they always come together in my list), Down by law (by Jarmusch), Bowling for Columbine, Shrek (the 1st part only, the rest was rubbish), The Nightmare before Christmas (absolutely marvelous, far better than Corpse Bride that most of my friends prefer), Mulholland dr. (made a very specific impression), Lola rennt.Books. Read quite rarely, prefer audiobooks (as a positive side-effect they are a good cure for my insomnia). Favourite ones: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, O'Henry's stories, G. Orwell's Animal farm & 1984. I am also fond of some audiolectures by TMS and TTC, the best 2 ever I've listened to are: A History of the English language (by Michael Drout, TMS) and Utopia and Terror in the 20th century (TTC). Music. A few Belarusian performers; Kino (Russian); Queen (English); Wir sind Helden, MIA, Rosenstolz, Mozart, Christina Stuermer, Die Prinzen, Beethoven (all German, apart from Mozart & Stuermer who are Austrian).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't think of anything special now, sorry :)
