About Me
PLEASE READ AND FIND THE MAGIC WORD IN THE TEXT FOR YOUR REQUEST!
I truly value Couchsurfing's spirit thus I would like to avoid spending time on reading couch request templates! When I am in a quest for a nice host I read through their profile carefully to get a glimpse of the person—that is CS all about. I would like to be selective with my guests, so receiving just a regular template is a total no go! Couchsurfing to me is all about sharing, so that spirit is what I value most in my future guests also.
I like to call myself open-minded but it is more a deep curiosity about all things in life.
I'm very much interested in people, their stories, lessons, and in general: all the different ways to live a life.
I have been living a bit on and off in 7 countries and after 5 years spent in Copenhagen, I just moved back to Budapest.
I live in the most beautiful and frequented quarter of Budapest (with really good public transportation) up in Buda hills. Literally, the Buda Castle is in front of my apartment and you can also see one of the most beautiful bridges, the Elisabeth Bridge from my window.
I live in a 45 m2 apartment (living room + kitchen, a sleeping room + a cute balcony) by myself that was completely unfurnished before so I got to design and make it my own from scratch. I absolutely love it!
I value tidiness and personal hygiene a lot so please keep in mind this once you are here.
I've been using CS both for hosting/surfing or just finding travel mates.
It all turned out a life-changing experience and just strengthened my belief that all people initially have good intentions. I am a true believer in seeing the good in people.
I really like cooking and experimenting with new things, however often times it's hard to leave behind the daily routine and comfort of my habits. I am very proud of my Hungarian heritage so most likely you would hear a lot about our traditions, especially a lot of praise for our cuisine.
The most important point on my bucket list for life is to never stop exploring and never stop learning! My role model is my grandma, who at the age of 81 keeps herself mentally fresh by reading a lot—even tough she is complaining she forgets a lot—she is still driving and taking care of her huge summer house garden. She still paints her nails and hair and cares about her appearance. She tells me age is a mental thing, and if you keep training your mind, you'll stay young!
When I travel I like to discover local, unique hidden places and of course, this can be executed in the best way by meeting locals from CS! Of course I will never say no to authentic food and good wine as well as traditional music. I love to learn from the local culture as much as possible. (hidden word for your request: 'szióka') Understanding different cultures and histories give me a greater understanding of the world! I am always up for dancing too and by the way, I dance lindy hop for over 2 years now!
Another good to know fact about me:
I am a Christian. I came to faith after a long journey of my own. I was relentlessly seeking the truth from a young age but was convinced that my way is the way to find it—which obviously didn't work out.
This part of my life is important to me, but I am not the type of person who would come after you, trying to convince/convert you. Everyone's journey is different and I respect that. However, if you are curious I am very happy to tell you about my transformation and view on life and death.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the whole idea of interconnectedness, the power of community, and all the beautiful stories you could encounter while meeting people from various backgrounds.
Interests
My big goal is to have a huge bookshelf with all the best books in the world. For a long time, I've been interested mainly in psychology/philosophy/history. I would love to learn more about these of cousre but I am very much behind with the big classics. So, reading is one.
Music: another goal is to have an amazing sound system in my home so I can get more goosebumpy than I usually do. I love building playlists, very much interested in music history and I love music documentaries
Pseudo-intellectuals: I dig a lot of Jordan Peterson, Douglas Murray, Sam Harris, CosmicSkeptic and mainly conservative intellectuals political contents on YT. I am the type of girl who never watches beauty videos, vlogs, or fitness videos. My recommendations are either connected to political commentators or apologetics.
Apologetics: I wish I would have a talent for clear cut argumentation. I think it is a God given talent, but I'd love to be better at it. I love to listen to and learn apologetics. It is not only very very interesting but an amazing tool to express and elaborate questions about faith to a layman.
Nature/hiking/gardening stuff: I love to go out to nature and just witness the creativity of the Creator. However, I am an agricultural engineer I have very small knowledge about gardening which is a complete shame. I'd love to know more about it and being a bit of forager is also on my interest-bucket list.
Dance: If you'll see me dancing either lindy or just in general at a soul/funk party you'd think I'm high. It gives me complete ecstasy and it is my complete necessity to express myself this way.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge music nerd: Electro, deep house, tech house, techno, afro beats, funky, jazz, and old school hip hop. I would love you to show me good quality music, I always appreciate that
My favorite book of all time is the Bible and I am trying really hard to read it daily. It is really the best book for body, mind, and soul. It's comforting that this life's just a stop and not our real home.
Movies: I have to admit for some reason I am VERY left behind with this. Mainly, because I get caught up reading something instead of watching a movie. I am very far from a movie junkie and for some reason TV shows really can't keep me for a long time. However, I love documentaries a lot be it about history (my favourite time is the 60s US) nature (David Attenborough's the best) or music. One of my all time favorite movie is Black Cat White Cat from Kusturica and Trainspotting.
