Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I host and offer a guest bedroom, two couches and floor space. When I have time, I show people around Las Vegas. How I participate in the Las Vegas community is that I am one of the organizers of the local raw vegan meetup group: www.meetup.com/RawLasVegas/

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have been couchsurfing when traveling from before the Internet so I was then happy to learn of the existence of CS. Through CS, I've hosted over 100 people from several dozen countries.

New ideas and learning. Progressive social change. Liberty. Responsibility. Raw vegan diet. Renewable energy. Music. Travel. Learning/teaching. Respect, joy, love, justice, ethics and the other simple pleasures of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw a triple rainbow over a small Black Sea island from the Bulgarian coast. The little island had one house on it and it looked as though I had seen it earlier in an impressionist's painting.

Once when there were 6 couchsurfers at my home representing 3 countries, we played Scrabble using words in any language! At the end, there were words in 4 languages on the board! We even had double (two direction) words in different languages! Fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always open to learn and will share and teach if/when others are open. Malcolm X (Al-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz) said: "If you know, teach; if you don't, learn."
