Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The first night I spent couchsurfing, my wife and I stayed on a blow-up mattress on the kitchen floor of a run-down flat in New Orleans. There were cockroaches scuttling about and two little puppies climbing all over us! The accommodations weren't the finest, but I was happy to have a place to stay and our host was super generous with his time. We loved it.
Then, two days later we had made our way to Hilton Head Island, SC. There we stayed in the master bedroom of a wealthy doctor, on a king-sized bed, with a private bathroom and steam shower. He said his wife was out of town and he used couchsurfing as a way to bless others with what he'd been given.
The two stays could not have been more different, but we were amazed at both! It is truly incredible the connections and experiences that can be made here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once watched my friend get a sudden nosebleed while he was driving. he pulled over and blew out a 3-inch-long blood slug/clot. It changed me. I feel like I left my childhood, right there on the side of an empty Montana highway. Nothing was ever the same after that.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share knowledge of ecology, plant identification, wild food foraging, and bike mechanics.
